SUP – BLOG P.2
What did you know about TIQQE before you contacted us, and why did you choose TIQQE?
Jonatan:
Before I contacted TIQQE I had an idea of what TIQQE does, mostly because a
couple of friends work here and I have shown some interest in their work as I
knew it could be a potential future workplace. I choose TIQQE because I’ve only heard good things about it. Aswell as I feel that TIQQE’s serverless work really intrigues me as we never learned anything about it at university. I always like to learn new skills.
Johannes:
I honestly didn’t know that much about TIQQE before first contact, I kind of just stumbled upon your website when I was looking for an internship. But after reading about TIQQE I was intrigued to say the least. Sofia invited me to an in-person-interview, which was my first since Covid, and when I got here I just got an amazing impression. And, after talking about potential projects I could work on here, there was no other option.
Isac:
I knew that TIQQE is a consulting company, and that they work with serverless solutions and AWS. From a friend I also heard that one of TIQQEs customers is PostNord. I chose TIQQE because I believe that the company works with new and interesting technologies.
What was your first impression when you met your first TIQQE:r?
Jonatan:
Kindness and curiosity. I felt very welcome when I first arrived at the office,
and as curious as I was at learning and getting to know colleagues, I felt that
they also were curious about me.
Johannes:
Nice, kind, humble, motivated, relaxed. Altogether very nice!
Isac:
It was a nice and friendly encounter accompanied with a high level of professionalism. Even though I hadn’t started on the project or my workplace practice yet, I still felt that I was considered valuable to TIQQE.
How has your first time been at TIQQE?
Jonatan:
It has been awesome! I’m super happy with the team I’m in, everyone supports each other and we have fun. I also feel that I am valuable and contributing.
Johannes:
Just amazing. Despite many still working from home, I’ve had a great time with the ones who’ve been in the office, and working with my team on our project has been a really great experience so far. Nice people, nice projects, nice tech-stack, nice offices, good coffee and great talks. Mondays are the new fridays!
Isac:
An almost overwhelming amount of new information in the beginning, but it has been well managed through supportive team members and other TIQQErs who are available and forthcoming towards helping me.
What will be your actual work while doing your ”SUP – System Utvecklings Projekt” at TIQQE?
Jonatan:
I will work on a system that will automatically bookkeep cryptocurrency transactions. We will be working on collecting transactions made on different blockchains and register them correctly in Visma, an accounting tool. The goal is to make it easy to keep track of how much tax you will have to pay when it’s time to declare taxes.
Johannes:
I will be working with a team on a blockchain project, where I’ll be a fullstack developer.
Isac:
I will be a part of the Dododox project. Together with Jonatan and Johannes, we will be working on integrating cryptotransactions into the Visma and Fortnox Bookkeeping systems.
What are you looking forward to in the near future?
Jonatan:
I’m looking forward to learning more about serverless and AWS as I am quite unversed in this topic. I’m also looking forward to getting to know everyone in the TIQQE-family, the people I have met so far haven’t dissapointed 😉
Johannes:
Getting to know everybody at TIQQE better, seeing where our blockchain-project ends up, starting my first real web development job and becoming a true TIQQE:r!
Isac:
Meeting people at TIQQE, expanding and developing my competence in system development and learning more about AWS and serverless. I am also looking forward to working on a, to me, truly interesting project.
