Get to know our Developer Warren!

Warren Ngo started with us late last year and joined one of our largest customer teams. With his interests in coding, people and new cultures he has quickly become a natural part of the team. It might be a little due, but we want to send our warmest welcome to Warren!

Who is Warren?

I’m a full-stack developer with years of experience using PHP, nodeJS, & Angular to build web apps and APIs.

I’m comfortable working with relational databases and using bash scripting. In my spare time, I enjoy PC gaming, basketball, badminton and card games. I really enjoy games where you get to play with or against other people.

What do you do at TIQQE?

I do backend development for the Postnord Retail team. My work includes understanding requirements and existing implementations as well as collaborating with stakeholders in order to come up with solutions.

What has been your first impression of TIQQE?

I saw TIQQE as a place for me to hone my software engineering skills since I get to work with the best in the industry. I felt lucky & intimidated when I got the job because I had some prior information about the company already from my colleagues. I was also expecting to learn more about Swedish culture in the company.

Looking out 3 to 5 years, what do you think will be the next big change in your industry?

I think more industries / professions will have some AI component in them. There would probably be demand for people with strong knowledge in a field coupled with coding & data science skills.

If a kid walked up to you asking for your advice regarding anything, and you only had a few minutes to give ‘em your best tip, what would it be?

I want to grab a quote from Chris Rock for this one: You can be anything you’re good at, as long as they’re hiring. And even then it helps if you know someone.
